Michael Patterson is husband to Wendy, father to Corban & Logan, and Bonus Dad to Addison & Blake. His blended family was orchestrated by the Lord to love & serve.
Over the years, Michael has served his church, Faith Tabernacle (Conyers, GA), through music ministry, as a Youth Pastor, Pastoral Assistant, Campus Pastor, Associate Pastor and now, Senior Pastor.
He is an Ordained Licensed Minister with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) and served in the Georgia District Youth Ministries for 15 years.
Michael has spent the majority of his life serving at his home church, under the leadership of his grandfather, Dr. J. A. Patterson, a native of Porterdale, GA. Michael’s service began at the age of 9, as he played the drums for the music ministry.
God had other plans for Michael, and at the age of 15 he began serving in Youth Ministry. He continued to serve on Youth Staff until he graduated high school & became Youth Pastor at age 18.
In 2006, at age 20, Michael received his Ministerial License with the UPCI & served as Section 5 Youth Leader. The next year he was elected GA District Youth Secretary and served in that capacity for 6 years until he was elected GA District Youth President in 2013.
While continuing to serve his home church of Faith Tabernacle in many areas of ministry including pastoring its daughter work church in Blakely, GA, Michael served as Youth President for the GA District UPCI for the next 11 years.
In 2010, at age 24, Michael was Ordained as a Minister of the Gospel with the UPCI & became the Associate Pastor at Faith Tabernacle.
On February 1, 2012, at age 26, Michael was elected as Pastor.
Michael is a certified licensed counselor with the NCCA & is currently pursuing his Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling.
In his hometown of Porterdale, Michael currently serves as a City Councilman. He has also served Porterdale as Chairman of the Zoning Commission, organizing Candidate Forums, Voter Registration, Town Hall Meetings, and supporting community events.
Michael’s desire is to serve and be involved with his church and his local community in any way possible. He gives thanks to all the people that have influenced his life and most of all to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Michael’s life goal is to be a Servant of God and Servant to People.
His favorite scripture is Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
